I'm so glad my first time having Indian food in NYC was here! I came here for a solo date after being sick all weekend and it was perfect. I had tried their vegetable samosas and spicy shrimp masala. I would like to come back to explore their spice levels and different Indian cuisine with my senses 100% in tact. I ordered a higher spice level but I don't think I could tell. However the green sauce was really good with the samosa. Both were fantastic and I regret not looking at what desserts they had. This occasion was spontaneous after a long day of studying but I would definitely bring a friend here!
I got the lunch special via delivery. This works for me! I got the chicken dish. It was one of the curries - they all looked the same, and I wanted to go this route before getting a larger dish. I got the chettinad. I found the veggie dish under-seasoned, but there was plenty of sauce from the chicken and lentils, and I used them to help it out. The chicken and lentils were good - enough. This is the kind of spot I would order from regularly for myself. I wouldn't bring out of town guests there or anything, and I don't eat at those spots regularly. It was what I was looking for and a great deal. They used Relay for delivery and it arrived nice and hot.
Went on a weekday, it was pretty slow so the service was quick! The space was quiet and nice to have conversation and eat. Overall, I enjoyed the food! The flavors of the curry were good and the mo mos were stuffed. I enjoyed the kathi the most, it was like a small burrito size and was filling for me! I wasn't as much of a fan of the kebabs but I think that's more of a personal thing. I'm not familiar with the style but it felt a bit dry to me.
Nice waiter. Good food and service! The steamed momo was great, but I still prefer Chinese dumplings as the the skin is lighter. Great curries for a cold day.
Delicious food, Vindaloo hot but flavorful, service prompt with friendly staff. Good choice of curries, very reasonably priced.
